Back To God

Back to God is my debut art collection. It is a return to the roots of who I am as an artist, and to the original fabric of my life - Drawing, and God. 

Rendered primarily in a BIC #2 mechanical pencil, these drawings traveled through the depths of a soul-searching journey alongside me. The series begins with a literal self-portrait — drawn from a place of devastation and brokenness, lying on the floor. Above me, a large and stoic horse stands without a shadow. I had carried that image in my mind for months before I understood what it meant. It wasn't until I actually began drawing it that the words "Back to God" came to me. I jotted them at the bottom of that paper, and the rest is history.

This body of work serves as my debut collection, and as a personal witness.
